Clothing is a common love for most of us and we spend a lot of money on buying new clothes. But whenever we want to go better on quality, the wallet appears unhappy with the actions. Finding clothes with quality and in the budget as well is a dream that has come true with POUR FEMME. Ravi Mehra is the person who swung the magic wand. The company was started two years ago and achieved a 1.25 Cr turnover in the financial year 2018-19.

How will you introduce Yourself to the world?
We are into the fashion world with an Idea of “Affordable Clothing”. Since the origin POUR FEMME is well known for our best quality women clothing available online under Rs. 499/-. We have been leading women clothing checkered casual shirt under Shirt category in E-commerce marketplace giant Flipkart since past 2 years and still leading.

Our customers are our achievements. Their reviews and feedback help us to keep improving ourselves. Their trust in us we have got so far. It’s a result of the trust of our customers only that we have got achieved Rs. 1.25 Cr turnover in the financial year 2018-19
“What’s the most important thing you’re working on right now, and how are you making it happen?
As of now, we are focusing on producing the best quality casual wear while keeping the cost as low as possible. For this, we have been experimenting on the material side and to breakdown the production process so that we could save the cost wherever possible.

What’s your take on your segmented/targeted Market?
Well, as of now we have been operating 99% on the E-commerce model and so far our experience is a concern that is lacking quality products. People or selling a low-quality product and customers are not getting what exactly they are paying for. We have identified that area of scope and penetrate sharply and keep focusing on producing quality products since the origin.
What are the challenges you have faced and what are the current challenges?
I can state only two core challenges I faced, rest was manageable.

  1. Labour Intensive Industry.
  2. Capital to maintain growth in a shorter timeline.

Why you have started up? Be specific with your reasons!!  
Our start-up name is POUR FEMME which means in English is “For Women” we have come into the industry with an idea to do something for women empowerment. As of now, we have been focusing on low price clothing in the next phase we will focus on mid-price and high price clothing segment. We strongly believe that a perfect outfit gives confident to the person carrying it. 
Where do you want to see yourself in the next 5 years?
As of now, we must be one of the Top 100 Sellers in the E-commerce marketplace. In the next 5 years, we want to capture the largest market sharing in the women clothing segment with the target of becoming the No 1 brand for women clothing in India.

Well, the biggest learning so far is “Cost Control” because the single rupee that you have saved in your cost is actually the Net profit that you have achieved without even incurring operational Cost.
