Around 14,000 trains run daily in India with an average ridership of 3 crores passengers approx. On an average, 3000 passengers travel per train service. It is almost 2.3% of the total population of India. Such a huge population is commuting daily through railways but is their travel smooth ? Travellers struggle to get hygienic food creating their travel a disastrous one. 
Hailing from a middle class family from Patna, Manish Kumar realised the problem and take an oath to solve the prevailing condition in terms of food in Indian Railways & in this process Rail Restro born out with registered entity Yescom India Softech Pvt. Ltd., headquartered at Patna. Here is a brief conversation with the pioneer himself:

Q. How will you Introduce Yourself to the world ? 
Manish: Solving a widespread problem is something that has always inspired me. Coming from a middle class family, I saw a cause and found out the way to solve the hygienic food crunch prevailing in Indian Railways ecosystem. This just paved the way for letting me be the founder of my startup venture named RailRestro.
Q. Tell your readers about your achievements till today (Be Honest) !!
Manish: We have scaled from a narrow office and meagre reach to over 600+ cities over 2 years span of time. We have delivered over 10 Lakh meals and counting. We striven hard to meet every shortcomings and challenges in the path and also fortune did us the required favour.
Q. What’s the most important thing you’re working on right now, and how are you making it happen? 
Manish: We are increasing our reach and awareness towards online food ordering in train. We are doing Advertising on all digital and air media modes.
Q. What’s your take on your segmented/targeted Market ? 
Manish: Travellers can be anyone, it can be a bachelor or a family. We have to cater for all of them irrespective of age groups or gender. We are focused to provide quality food at every traveller who wants hygienic & quality food at their seat  irrespective of age or gender. 
Q. What are the challenges you have faced and what are the current challenges ? Mention top three challenges for both. 
Manish: Like every startups, we also have faced similar Challenges earlier, including:
  • Working Capital
  • Skilled Workforce
  • Scalable Model

After 2 years of successful operations, currently we are facing challenges including:

  •  Awareness towards Online Payment
  •  Data Management due to un-skilled team & not scaled technology
  •  Investment to increase team & scale team & technology
Q. Why you have started up ? Be specific with your reasons!! 
Manish: Being a problem solver, I jumped into the league of other problem solvers to solve the prevailing condition in terms of food in Indian Railways. People are ready to spend on their food but do not have proper avenues for the same, we are taking the pain point through our platform Rail Restro.
Q. Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years
Manish: We don’t want to limit ourselves to train only. Our goal is to scale up to every travel model and deliver the best food at lower and affordable rates across India and abroad.
