New York Start-up Business Plan Competition Win and get the money to boost your start-up

The NY library is proud to announce the 11th Annual NY Start-up! Business Plan Competition for brand sparking of New York-based start-up entrepreneurs. Entrants can win $15,000 to start their business. Also, they can gain practical insights about starting and growing a business while using the great small business resources at NYPL’s Business Library (SIBL).
With a presence in more than 60 countries, Seed stars World supports and invests in emerging market start-ups at the seed-stage. Join this regional pitch competition for an opportunity to form your case at the finals in Switzerland. There you’ll have five minutes to pitch your idea ahead of the audience, five minutes to answer judge’s questions, and maybe a million dollars in equity investment afterward.
Your eligibility
 You must be in Manhattan, The Bronx, or Staten Island *
 Your business must be in Manhattan, The Bronx, or Staten Island
 All businesses must have ideas or business models within the start-up phase and at least have earned $10,000.
 What are the requirements?

• View or attend an Orientation Session and take the quiz
• Create an account and submit an entry form on the NY Start-up! 2020 site on    Fluid Review no later than 11:59 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020
• Attend 3 out of 4 technical workshops scheduled January and February 2020- View the schedule
• Meet regularly with a business advisor throughout the Competition – View the list of business advisors
• Upload your business plan to the NY Start-up! 2020 site on Fluid Review no later than 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020

How to Enter:

1. Create an account on the NY Start-up! 2020 site on Fluid Review
2. Complete the online orientation and quiz on the NY Start-up! 2020 site on Fluid Review 
3. Submit an entry form on the NY Start-up! 2020 site on Fluid Review no later than 11:59 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020
4. Upload your plan in PDF format to the NY Start-up! 2020 site on Fluid Review no later than 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020
